The Bible, Ministry and Theology department seeks to shape men and women for ministry in a variety of forms and contexts, through deep engagement with the Scriptures and reflection on how the central doctrines of the Christian faith shape the way we live and serve God. The faculty share a common desire for all that we do to glorify God in Christ, forming God’s people to be part of his mission in the world.
The Counselling Faculty members are committed academics and practitioners who will journey with you throughout your training to develop both academic and clinical excellence. Their vision is for graduate counsellors to be able to integrate their faith with a high level of professional practice and the capability to influence change and growth in people in order to bring about healing and health.
The faculty of education at Morling College draws on over 20 years of experience in providing high quality education degrees from a Christian perspective. Our degrees have provided the backbone of professional development for many Christian teachers in Australia for decades. We are proud of our heritage, and the contribution that our degrees have made to teachers and leaders in Christian schools, as well as to teachers in other school contexts.
Wide-ranging support for the students at Morling College is provided by the administrative staff. With various departments handling a diverse assortment of tasks including financial aid, marketing and recruitment, enrolments, technical support and infrastructure, as well as many other general duties, the administrative staff provides the basic foundation to ensure the highest quality of Christian education possible for our students. The Morling College Leadership Team is made up of 5 roles, designed to focus on key areas of the College that complement one another and to ensure the best possible standards in all areas are maintained and enhanced. These roles are the Principal, the Vice Principal (Academic), the Vice-Principal (Students & Community), the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Administrative Officer.
The Morling College Board (sometimes referred to as the Morling College Council) is the governing body for Morling College Ltd. The Board has both Institute of Higher Education [IHE] and non-IHE responsibilities.
The IHE responsibilities are in regard to the Morling College Education, Counselling and Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care awards.
The non-IHE responsibilities are in regard to all other areas involved in the management of the College and in the efficient provision of Theology awards delivered at Morling College under the Australian College of Theology (ACT)
