Who is this course suitable for?

• Entry level junior chaplains, pastoral care roles
• Trained chaplaincy volunteer looking to upgrade skills
• Those looking to broaden their spiritual care skills with the opportunity for higher level study

How long does it take to complete the course?

The Graduate Certificate of Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care may be completed within one semester of 13 weeks for full time students or maximum 1.5 years for part time students.  

What can I expect at the completion of this course?

• Apply your knowledge within professional or volunteer pastoral care roles
• Go on to further study in the Graduate Diploma or Master of Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care

Graduate Diploma of Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care

Who is this course suitable for?

• You may already be a chaplain or volunteer looking to enhance your skills
• Those who wish to gain specialist skills in a particular area, for example, school, prison ministry, the military, mental health or aged care. 
• Those who wish to gain a qualification for a chaplaincy role
• Those looking to go on towards higher level opportunities in study or working capacity

How long does it take to complete the course?

The Graduate Diploma of Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care may be completed within a minimum of one year (2 semesters of 13 weeks) full time, or maximum 3 years for part time students.  

What can I expect at the completion of this course?

• Practical experience as well as a potential major in your chosen specialty field
• Be equipped to provide chaplaincy and spiritual care in a range of Christian ministries and secular organisations in roles such as chaplains, pastoral carers, spiritual care practitioners and some pastoral roles.  
• Go on to further study in the Master of Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care

Master of Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care

Who is this course suitable for?

• Those who may be interested in a senior chaplaincy or spiritual care role
• Those who want to do deeper thinking about mission or leadership in a chaplaincy context
• Those who are wanting to prepare for higher research in the area of chaplaincy and spiritual care

How long does it take to complete the course?

The Master of Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care may be completed within a minimum of 2 years full time (based on 4 semesters), or maximum 6 years for part time students.  

What can I expect at the completion of this course?

• Extensive knowledge in chaplaincy and spiritual care
• Further practical experience in chaplaincy and spiritual care
• The ability to operate as autonomous senior professionals in roles such as chaplain, pastoral carer, senior chaplain, director of mission and manager of spiritual care in organisations that recognise spiritual care as integral to holistic care.
