The Graduate awards in Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care provides education and training in the advanced skills of spiritual care. Graduates of these awards will have advanced knowledge and practical skills in the key components of spiritual care across the lifespan with depth in chosen areas of specialisation. Graduates will be able to apply this knowledge in professional chaplaincy or pastoral care leadership roles in the context of social, institutional, organisational, and community groups. They will be able to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in the practice of spiritual and pastoral care, recognising spiritual needs reside in all people regardless of religious or secular beliefs and affiliations. The awards will prepare students for professional spiritual care ministry and mission within church and/or secular contexts.
Morling College—in partnership with BaptistCare and other industry groups—has developed a unique suite of awards in the field of Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care. These are world-class awards, designed to help people become competent chaplains in a wide range of fields. There is a lot of enthusiasm today about chaplaincy, in many industries: high school, university, aged care, health care, military, police, industry, sport, and more. The need and demand for Chaplains is growing across Australia. Competent, enthusiastic, caring, and highly trained chaplains change lives and impact communities. We are thrilled about how these new awards will develop skilled chaplains, and contribute meaningfully to Australian society and industries.
Morling also offers chaplaincy and schools ministry training within our ACT courses. Students can enrol in the “Chaplaincy Skills Unit”, within an accredited Australian College of Theology award. Our Chaplaincy Skills unit fulfils the requirements for government accreditation as a School Chaplain.
These courses are awarded through Morling College Ltd (Provider ID: PRV12034) and accredited under the self-accrediting authority approved by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA).
Morling College is registered with the Civil Chaplaincies Advisory Committee as an approved provider of education and training for Civil Chaplains and Pastoral Care Workers in NSW.

The Graduate Diploma of Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care is AQF level 8 and can be completed full-time over one year and can be considered as one-half of the Master of Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care. The Graduate Diploma is surrendered by students who go on to complete the Master of Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care.
The Graduate Certificate of Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care is AQF level 8 and can be completed part-time over 2 years and can be considered as one-half of the Graduate Diploma of Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care. This award is surrendered by students who go on to complete the Graduate Diploma of Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care. Units are available on-campus and online.
Students can study a single unit from either the Master of Counselling, Master of Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care, or the Graduate Certificate of Professional Supervision degrees. This is stand alone Certificate which can also be counted for Credit towards a Masters degree if they enrol within 10 years. The Single Unit itself is not an AQF award.
