The Graduate Certificate of Divinity introduces students, in a systematic manner, to the classical discipline of theology, as a means of both preparing men and women for communicating Christian knowledge and laying the foundation for advanced degrees in theology and ministry.
The Graduate Certificate of Divinity can be considered as one-half of the Graduate Diploma of Divinity, and can be completed by using the same pathways.
See the ACT website for the full list of course learning outcomes.
This course provides a smooth pathway from a 0.5 year course, to a one-year course, and then on to the Master of Divinity (should a student wish to articulate).
The course provides foundational knowledge and skills appropriate to Christian ministry, but not to the depth required for leaders and teachers in congregations, for which vocations the Bachelor of Theology, Bachelor of Ministry, the Master of Ministry, and the Master of Divinity have been devised.
4 units (48 credit points) at AQF level 8 or above.
6 months minimum, 2 years maximum.
Units are available both on-campus and online.
