Israel, Palestine & Jordan Study Tour

Due to the ongoing conflict in the region we have made the difficult decision to cancel the scheduled 2024 Study Tour.

Morling is pleased to offer both current and prospective students the opportunity to participate in a Study Tour of Israel and Jordan, scheduled for January 2024. Some highlight destinations of the tour include Amman, Petra, The Dead Sea, Jerusalem, Mount Carmel, Megiddo & The Sea of Galilee. This tour commences from Sydney on the 11th of January 2024 with a flight to Dubai and will return to Australia on the 27th of January 2024.

As this tour includes a large amount of walking (on a few of the days you’ll be walking all day), and walking on uneven ground, we strongly encourage all to keep that in mind when applying to attend the tour. Proper footwear is a must.

This Study Tour will be classed as a ‘Summer Intensive’ – prior to leaving on the tour you will be required to participate in a virtual class, and to complete the assigned readings and identify your personal learning expectations for the Study Tour. The bulk of the content will be delivered while travelling while the majority of the assignments will be due during the semester 1 2024 semester. A pre-unit zoom will be organised for those taking this unit for credit to discuss assignments and due dates. There will also be a meet and greet to get to know your fellow travellers.

Part of the tour cost can be deferred to FEE-HELP for eligible students. As places are limited, please let us know if you intend to take this tour as soon as you can.

Students completing this unit as part of an accredited award are required to complete assigned pre-reading before the tour commences, and complete assessment work after the tour (by early Semester 1).

Everyone is warmly invited to join us! You do not need to be a student.

To secure your place:

  • Complete the Booking Form and return it to Morling College (events@morling.ed.au)
  • Morling College will pass this along to the travel agency who will then be in contact to organise deposit payment
  • If you are completing the Study Tour for credit, ensure you have included it on your Summer Intensive, 2023 Enrolment Form
  • Pay your deposit of $500 per person by 25th of May

Christianity In History Study Tour (Jan 2025 TBC)

Our Christianity in History Study Tour is a wonderful opportunity to see Church History come to life as we travel through Germany, Strasbourg and Switzerland. Experience the churches, castles, and towns where reformers like Luther, Zwingli, Calvin and the Swiss Brethren lived and taught.
