NT010 / NT011 - Paul and Corinthian Christianity (English / Greek)

This unit provides an introduction to the English / Greek text of 1 Corinthians, locating the letter within the history of Paul’s interactions with the Corinthian church, interpreting it in relation to relevant aspects of first century Corinthian culture, and surveying major features in the theology of Paul’s letters to the church in Corinth. Students also carry out exegesis of selected passages from 1 Corinthians and develop the skills involved in New Testament exegesis.
