These webinars form part of the Online Unit: Youth in the Churches DE011. For more information about this unit see here. This unit can be taken as part of an undergraduate oo postgraduate course of the Australian University of Theology (AUT), or in a single unit study mode.

Webinar 1: Defining Healthy Youth Ministry

How do you define a healthy youth ministry? Through her experience developing the Health Youth Ministry Framework for Baptist Youth Ministries, Rachel has spent a significant amount of time pondering this question. During this webinar, Rachel will discuss her approach to defining this concept and share some of the different elements that should make up a healthy youth ministry. There will be plenty of opportunities to discuss and some suggestions for steps leaders can take to improve the health of their own ministry.

 

Webinar 2: Leading Youth Teams

Teamwork makes the dream work, or so they say, and youth ministry is no exception. Mike Hill has many years of experience in youth ministry. Join us as he takes us through some of the things that make up a healthy ministry team, and some principles and practical tips for leading teams well.

 

Webinar 3: Programming for Youth Ministry

What does a holistic approach to programming look like? How do we ensure that our young people are given the right balance of events, teaching, and discipleship to grow in their faith? This lecture will include discussion of a big-picture approach to programming, as well as practical advice for creating a program for your youth ministry.

 

Webinar 4: Raising up Young Leaders

Raising up the next generation of leaders is one of the most crucial and rewarding aspects of youth ministry. In this seminar, Tatenda (TC) Chikwekwe, a seasoned leader in youth and young adult ministry, will share his insights on how to identify, nurture, and empower young leaders within your church and ministry context. TC will lead us through the importance of developing young leaders and some practical tips for doing it well.

Webinar 5: Managing the Admin Load in Youth Ministry

For many in youth ministry, managing admin can be one of the most difficult tasks of ministry. How do you manage risk assessments, safe ministry screenings, parent communication, student registrations, and much, much more? Kathy Dwyer has experience in church-based and denominational admin roles and has a passion for helping pastors and leaders improve their admin abilities. Kathy will take us through the importance of admin and provide some helpful processes to keep on top of the multitude of admin tasks.
