Course Description

The Master of Educational Leadership aims to equip and enable you to better fulfil your role as a Christian educator in leadership. Written from a Christian worldview each unit is designed to challenge and transform your thinking and practice in education. The course is offered on line with lecturers who are qualified and experienced Christian educators.

Entry Requirements

Master of Educational Leadership applicants should have as a minimum an accredited three year Bachelor degree in any discipline together with a strategic role and experience in an education institution.

Applicants who first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in English. This would normally be equivalent to a minimum overall IELTS score of 7.0 with the minimum score in the reading and written component being 7.0.

Course Pathways

To complete the Master of Educational Leadership, 96 credit points (cp) are required in total. Students can choose one of two pathways through the Course.

Pathway 1: Coursework (8 units)

Students complete three core units ED801, EDL804 and EDL905 (36 credit points), four elective units (48 credit points), at least two of which must be leadership electives, and the Capstone Unit, EDL940 (12 credit points). At least 50% of the total number of units (including EDL905 and EDL940) must be at AQF 9.

Pathway 2: Coursework (4 units) and Research (4 units)

Students complete three core units ED801, EDL804 and EDL905 (36 credit points), one unit from the leadership electives (12 credit points) and complete the two Research Methods units (24 credit points) and a Research Thesis (24 credit points).
